Welcome to the Colyford Memorial Village Hall Web Page. We are very proud of our wonderful hall and hope that the information contained here will answer some of your questions. If you have any queries, our contact numbers appear below.

The Hall was opened in 1957 and in 2007 the committee and several volunteers in the village painted the Hall inside and out.

The committee and volunteers also made new curtains and now a new kitchen has been installed.

MAIN HALL

The hall measures 16.4m x 7.4m with a curtained stage of 5.4m x 3.5m. There is an upright piano and pull down screen. The hall has a small Bar and there is seating for 120 if the hall is required for talks. There is room for 12 tables for functions, with 8 people to each table.

COMMITTEE/MEETING ROOM

This room is 5.8m x 3.9m with chairs, tables and access to kitchen, main hall and stage.

NEWLY FURBISHED KITCHEN

There is a roomy 6.7m x 2.6m working area, well fitted kitchen, with preparation area, modern gas cooker, dishwasher, hot cupboard, water heater, fridge and serving access to both main hall and committee/meeting room.

The kitchen has also been designed for use by the disabled with low preparation counters and adequate room for wheelchairs.

CAR PARK

There is direct access from the A3052 to the large hardstanding car park.

Toilets: Male, Female and Disabled.

ACTIVITIES IN THE HALL

Upholstery Classes recommence in the Hall on Mondays from 21st September
2 sessions 10.00 - 12.30pm and 1.00 - 3.30pm.

Upholstery Classes, Paula's Stitchers, Keep Fit and Pilates all raise money for the Hall and particularly to relocate and upgrade the toilets.

Many groups and societies are currently using our hall. Among them are:-
Flower Club, Indoor Bowls, History Society, Tea Dance, Lace Group, W.I., National Trust, Line Dancing, Chance to Dance.

Note: There is now a refundable deposit of £100 charged on all bookings.

Note:

1. The above commercial rates are inclusive of PRS fees.
2. * denotes additional hours will be charged at £6.00 per hour.
3. A commercial user is defined as an organisation whose sole purpose is to trade in goods, services or provide entertainment for the public, for profit.

Committee Room

Charges for the committee room will increase from 1st January 2010:-

Private/Local Societies:   £10.00 for a minimum period of 3hours.
Commercial: £14.00 for minimum period of 3 hours.
plus £4.00 per hour for extra hours.

Bar Licence

£50.00
